Winter has come and not only have I begun hibernating, but in doing so I’ve lost my mojo. My mojo is so far gone that I haven’t done anything creative in over a month because I choose naps every day. My lost mojo has me falling behind on my reading, which is basically who I am as a person. My mojo is so dead and buried that I’ve even lost my own personal style. I don’t even know what I’m wearing right now!
A beacon of light is an upcoming family holiday to Europe. So in an attempt to find both my mojo and my style I have devised a plan: to find inspiration for a fabulous summer holiday wardrobe, draw up sketches and then make some clothes to sashay around Europe in.
I’ve been so excited to travel through Greece in a National-Lampoon’s Griswold-esque fashion with my extended family. And now I’m adamant to do it in style.
All I need now is a clear vision. So far I’m really feeling colourful Cuban and Mexican style, with a dash of Cardi B’s influence from her “I Like It” videoclip, mixed with gingham and throw in some tropical prints. But I want all of this with a general old-Hollywood feel. I kind of want to gallivant around Greece looking like a cross between Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday and a Brigitte Bardot/Sophia Loren just existing in Europe in the 50s and 60s. Do you think they’re all easily integrated?
I’ve well and truly begun the Research & Development phase:
So please wish me luck!
Also, let me know if you’ve ever lost your mojo before and whether you were able to recover it somehow.
And pretty please send me any inspiration or motivation you’ve got!
Help get me back to Dreamland!
